For example, with paper-based processes, information typically arrives at a company’s mail center as a form or correspondence. It is then scanned into a digital image and processed with automated classification, data capture and business process software, manually processed, or a combination of both. After the business process is complete, the original paperwork, digital images and associated data are stored, managed and disposed of as required.
