MulvannyG2 Architecture General Manager to Join Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s Trade Mission to China
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- MulvannyG2 Architecture’s Shanghai Office General Manager Renren Zhang will join Washington State Governor Jay Inslee’s trade mission to China November 15-18, 2013. With a focus on clean technology, energy efficiency, and smart grid systems, the trip is designed to share information and foster business relationships that support these efforts.
Zhang will join Governor Inslee, members of the Chinese government, and Chinese engineers, scientists, and business leaders in roundtable discussions covering resource planning, energy conservation, and the development of smart grid projects in China and Washington State. Development and deployment of a smart grid is seen as crucial to a clean energy future for both China and the U.S.
Governor Inslee will also be promoting greater Chinese corporate and venture capital investment in Washington State during the trip. According to the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, Washington State exported $14.2 billion in goods to China in 2012, the most of any U.S. state. To that end, the governor will witness contract signings for two large-scale MulvannyG2 projects in China.
The first project, for client Zhejiang Jiangong Real Estate Development Group Co., which has an office in Seattle, is a 9 million square foot mixed-use project in Hangzhou. The second involves a 4.9 million square foot mixed-use project in Wuhan that MulvannyG2 is designing for China Resources Land, one of the leading property investment and development companies in China.
This is the second time that MulvannyG2 has been involved in a trade mission to China. In 2010, MulvannyG2 President Ming Zhang was the only architect selected to join then-U.S. Commerce Secretary and current Ambassador to China Gary Locke during his clean energy trade mission to China.
