American Banker Debuts New Ranking of The Best Banks to Work For
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- American Banker has released its inaugural ranking of the 2013 Best Banks to Work For, honoring 35 banking firms, large and small, that are earning praise from workers on benefits, opportunities and, most important, workplace culture.
Top winners included First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Pascagoula-Moss Point in the Under $3 Billion category, Pinnacle Financial Partners in the $3 Billion-to-$10 Billion category, and First Horizon National Corporation in the Over $10 Billion category.
The list is available at American Banker’s website (americanbanker.com/best-banks-to-work-for) and in the November issue of American Banker Magazine.
“At a time when employees at many companies in many sectors are having to do more with less, it’s inspiring to see the level of employee satisfaction and engagement achieved by the 35 banks on our ranking,” says Heather Landy, editor in chief of American Banker Magazine. “The breadth that these companies represent in terms of size, geographic location and approach demonstrate that there are many ways to achieve the right formula of workplace policies and culture.”
For over a decade, American Banker has been widely recognized among banking and financial services professionals for its prestigious, informative and engaging rankings of people and companies in the industry. These include the Most Powerful Women in Banking and Finance, the Best in Banking, the Top 200 Community Banks, and the FinTech100. The Best Banks to Work For is the most recent addition.
American Banker’s Best Banks to Work For study was performed in conjunction with Best Companies Group (BCG). BCG is an independent workplace research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work throughout the U.S., Canada and the UK. BCG managed the registration process, conducted the two-part survey process, evaluated the data and ultimately chose the companies that were good enough to make the list. The survey process included an Employer Questionnaire (25% of the evaluation) and an Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey (75% of the evaluation).
