Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 21, 2013

In a Dec. 10 webinar from Federal Fund Management Advisor, "Practical Strategies for Resolving Disagreements With Your Grantor Agency," federal grants expert Bob Lloyd will offer federal grant recipients strategies on making sensible decisions to resolve conflict with their grantor agencies.

Deciding whether — and how — to respond to an objectionable approach taken by a federal grantor involves applying balanced judgment and, perhaps, polite diplomacy. This webinar is intended to help participants build those skills in case they need to "push back" on their federal grant. Mr. Lloyd will discuss how to:

  • Get clarity on the awarding agency’s positions.
  • Conduct a civil informal discourse.
  • Best deal with ambiguity or differing interpretations of federal requirements.
  • Become acquainted with the federal policy structure and how to use it to the best advantage.
  • Constructively formulate written objections.
  • Decide when and how to use available formal dispute procedures.
  • Seek long-term changes to objectionable policies.
