Madison, Wis. (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Everyone deals with struggles in life, but when challenges seem to pile on top of one another, it can be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Higgs-Faretta’s memoir, “A Spark in the Darkness” tells the story of a happy life that suddenly grew very dark. After terminal illness took the life her child, the author woke up after a brain aneurysm left her partially paralyzed.
Higgs-Faretta’s book is not a “woe-is-me” tale, but the story of how one woman overcame struggles no one ever hopes to face.
“I hope my book encourages anyone facing a dark period in their life to keep putting one foot in front of the other,” Higgs-Faretta said. “There is not a generic cure for a broken heart, but people must live life knowing they can get through it.”
