Thomas P. Meehan Clearwater, Florida – “Arrest Files Websites Need to Be Overlooked”
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) November 16, 2013 -- Thomas P. Meehan of Pinellas County, Florida is celebrating his twenty-fifth year of successful entrepreneurship by challenging the status quo of beliefs regarding individuals who were either previously arrested, or accused of some type of criminal mischief. Meehan has specifically issued a challenge to his fellow business owners around Pinellas County, asking that they turn a less judgmental eye to arrest file websites that report arrest records for any person who has been reported by friends or competition as having been arrested.
Thomas P. Meehan spent the better part of the last five years educating himself regarding the optimization of new content for search engines, online reporting sites for arrest records and the concept that such sites are intended to shame people rather than provide a public service. Meehan found that information on arrest file sites often went far beyond any and all statute of limitations, and often prevented people who had paid their dues from getting an opportunity for full-time employment. He considers this reality unacceptable, because all companies falling under Meehan’s entrepreneurial umbrella had long made a practice of giving people second chances.
Thomas P. Meehan committed himself to finding a way to bring attention to the problem of arrest record sites, and their interference with the ability to earn a livelihood. Rather than taking on the sites directly, Meehan decided to issue a challenge to his fellow business owners and the only requirement was that they give good people a chance to prove their value.
Employees have taken to calling the challenge “Thomas P. Meehan’s Arresting Experiment.” All involved hope that the call to action puts good people in jobs before the end of 2013.
