Saint Jude Retreats' Business Development Director Attends Long Island EAPA Chapter Meeting
Amsterdam, NY (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- Saint Jude Retreats is excited to announce that Susanne Herrmann, Business Development Director has attended the Long Island EAPA Chapter Meeting. The Chapter serves Nassau and Suffolk County Counties, and Long Island New York. The monthly meeting was held Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Milleridge Inn Route 106 in Jericho, NY.
Susanne Herrmann had the opportunity to attend an educational training as well as network with many professionals such as union representatives, therapists, counselors, social workers, EAP and behavioral health workers in the tri-state area at this particular chapter meeting. She has gained a better understanding of how to provide alternative help to those attempting to overcome substance while still working or planning on returning to their current employment.
Herrmann is excited to grow relationships made throughout her network experiences at EAPA chapter meetings. “It’s really great to see that employers are taking the time to not only recognize substance use among employees, but to help them overcome it, and in the long run become better people. I continue to learn about all the small initiatives made throughout New York and some of the northeast states and these chapter meetings are a great resource for anyone looking to get the best help possible for their employees.”
The next EAPA meeting Herrmann plans on attending is the Hudson Valley chapter which covers Westchester County, Rockland County, Orange County, Dutchess and Putnam Counties. “There is a great need for alternative programs in these areas of New York, where drug use is prominently high, adds Herrmann. “I’m looking forward to educating more employee representatives in these areas where traditional treatment and rehab are just not working.”
The Saint Jude Retreats Program helps substance users overcome alcohol and drugs through a revolutionary process called Cognitive Behavioral Education.
