Many investors admire Buffett for his contrarian style and long-term outlook. However few investors truly understand what makes Buffett successful, and fewer still are able to put his teachings into practice.

StockViews is pleased to announce the launch of a new educational video: “Buffett Explained by Bears”. This nine minute lecture is a lighthearted guide to the living legend, considered by many to be the greatest investor of our lifetime. The video will form part of “StockViews Campus,” an educational resource for investors that will be launching in the near future.
The lecture explains Buffett’s philosophy in three parts:
1. The Difference between Price and Value
2. How to Find a Great Company
3. Taking Advantage of Mr. Market
While explaining the philosophy, the hero of the story “Teddy Shrewd” must contend with villans such as “Barbarian Bear”, intent on destroying his castle, as well as the unstable “Mr. Market.”
Having built up a large community of long-term investors, StockViews believes in arming its members with the skills and knowledge needed to make sensible and profitable investment decisions. This video is targeted at those of our members who would like to improve their abilities by learning from great investors.
Brian Godoy, marketing director at StockViews, said: “Many investors admire Buffett for his contrarian style and long-term outlook. However few investors truly understand what makes Buffett successful, and fewer still are able to put his teachings into practice. This lecture provides a simple guide to Warren Buffett’s philosophy in a fun and informative manner. Enjoy!”
Additional courses to be released from “StockViews Campus” will cover the investment philosophies of other great investors with proven track records. Members can request future topics by writing to Brian Godoy at StockViews.
StockViews is a site founded by a group of veteran fund managers, who saw the power of the web and its communities to shape the direction of markets. Equally, they understood how issues of credibility and noise were issues that could limit the development of those voices. StockViews is a platform designed to address these issues and to enable stock-picking talent on the web.
