Reliant Finishing Systems (http://www.reliantfinishingsystems.com) announced today that the company has retained Mr. Hal Lindsey, a well-known finishing equipment installation specialist, to head Reliant's growing Technical Services division. Mr. Lindsey is tasked with accelerating Reliant’s growth by expanding the role of Executive Director for Technical Services. Mr. Lindsey replaces Mr. J.R. Stewart, who enjoyed a successful career with Reliant before transitioning out of the powder coating equipment industry earlier this year. Mr. Lindsey was previously employed as the owner and manager of Reliable Service Company, a contracting company that had installed numerous large-scale finishing systems across the U.S. By serving as an executive for Reliant Finishing Systems, Mr. Lindsey will lead the company’s product development and technical support initiatives, as well as significantly increase the scope and volume of on-site service work performed by Reliant’s employees and contractors. Mr. Lindsey will also serve as an executive-level point of contact for Reliant’s distributors and clients.
Mr. Lindsey expressed enthusiasm over his new position. "I learned about Reliant Finishing Systems through my interaction with NorAM Spray Booths, another finishing equipment company based in Alabama. From my first few conversations with Reliant’s management team, it was clear that the company was on the fast track. Reliant’s managers were focused on turning out dependable, efficient equipment, but they told me they needed help providing top-notch support after the sale because their sales volume was growing so fast. This sounded like the type of opportunity I had been seeking. When I did my own research, I consistently heard that Reliant’s products are well-made and the company provides customer support at a level that most of their competitors can’t touch. I knew this was the kind of company I wanted to partner with long-term. What amazed me during the interview process was the number of areas where Reliant could easily expand their service offerings with only a moderate investment in additional labor and equipment. My excitement over these opportunities helped cement my relationship with Reliant Finishing Systems," he said.
Reliant’s Executive Vice President, Mr. John Thomason, added, "I was very impressed by Mr. Lindsey’s ability to look at Reliant’s current status in the market and quickly identify ways to propel the company forward without increasing the demand on our manufacturing facility. I also felt that his experience as a contractor in another field gave him fresh insights into our own industry. Hal will be a valuable addition to Reliant."
Mr. Michael Schuerer, President of Reliant Finishing Systems, agrees that Mr. Lindsey’s desire to increase Reliant’s offerings in the areas of preventative maintenance, general field service and on-site systems support made him an excellent fit. "During our initial conversations, Hal showed a great deal of interest in growing our service capabilities. He appeared to have an excellent understanding of how to better utilize the people we have, as well as how to add technical personnel that will generate additional income for our company. Although he’s only been working with Reliant for a short time, he’s been an invaluable asset. Reliant continues to develop new and more complex products for integration into large-scale powder coating systems. These products require professional installation and support. Mr. Lindsey will help assure that our new products perform perfectly. He’ll also work with our technical staff to educate and support our growing network of distributors," he said.
