New Bern, North Carolina (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- This year’s Annual River Dunes NC Homecoming Weekend showcased the warmth and hospitality of one of North Carolina’s finest marina communities. The memorable weekend was packed with great company, an eventful activities calendar, and opportunities to enjoy delicious local cuisine. Over 60 homeowners gathered from far and near to get reacquainted, renew friendships, and welcome new neighbors. Everyone in attendance during the weekend left with a renewed vision for the future of the community and a sense of excitement about the new facilities and amenities planned for the next year in the award-winning protected North Carolina marina community located just off the Intracoastal Waterway.
On Friday evening, a welcome picnic featuring Chef Robert's famous fried chicken was held at one of the custom River Dunes NC homes, located on the Channel. Saturday, a Continental Breakfast on the Sunporch preceded the Property Owners Association Annual Meeting at the Harbor Club. Owners were given a re-cap of 2013 and a look forward at 2014 activities and construction, including the highly anticipated Har-tru tennis courts now underway in the Harbor Village. The completion of the courts is expected within the upcoming weeks.
Perfect fall weather on Saturday afternoon made the planned coastal lifestyle activities enjoyable for all who participated. After a delightful lunch another property owner's new home in Oyster Point, residents set out for clay shooting on the Riverside, trout fishing on Broad Creek, paddling in River Dunes new single and double kayaks on Mill Creek, or taking a nature walk through the new Preservation neighborhood with the developer.
