Connance Names Stephen Bernard Vice President of Professional Services

Prior to joining Connance, Bernard was Vice President, Operations at Accretive Health, Inc. During his time at Accretive, he was responsible for leading client’s revenue cycle operations across multiple health facilities totaling over $1.5 billion in net patient revenue. Bernard focused on driving incremental revenue improvement initiatives, implementing technology solutions, and achieving cost reduction targets for his clients. Some key accomplishments included measurable performance improvements within payer denials and take-backs, patient bad debt, level of care determination, patient length-of-stay, and overall A/R levels. Bernard was also the subject matter expert for Accretive Health within patient receivables management. Prior to his tenure at Accretive, he was an executive with Accenture. Bernard earned his MBA at Michigan State University.
In his role as Vice President of Professional Services, Bernard will lead engagements with Connance’s provider customers, diagnose client performance improvement opportunities, lead provider performance reviews, and deliver insights to help Connance's customers achieve strategic performance transformation.
