If they want to try an employee before committing to a direct hire without the onerous employment regulations and obligations, I can help with that.

Telecom Search Group now has the ability to assist clients with contract staffing placements, particularly with contract-to-direct arrangements that are increasingly popular with their telecommunications clients.
The Telecom Search Group, established in 1994, is a boutique recruiting firm specializing in the placement of RF, Wireless, Wireline, and Internet/LAN/WAN networking professionals to the carrier, service, engineering, consulting, and manufacturing telecom sectors. With a nationwide scope, they serve telecom manufacturers, mobile operators, wireless infrastructure manufacturers, handset vendors, CLECs and VoIP providers, financial services, engineering consultants, and RF WAN network engineering and service companies.
“I concentrate on senior positions - senior engineer, senior sales, and senior management,” said Randall Chambers, President of the Telecom Search Group.
Up until now, they also have focused almost exclusively on direct hire. However, noticing a growing demand for contract staffing and contract-to-direct arrangements, Chambers has now enabled his firm to meet those staffing needs as well.
The difficult business and economic environment has played a large role in the growth of contract staffing in the telecom sector, Chambers said. Contract-to-direct arrangements are a particularly popular option for companies who need to increase their workforce now but may not have the cash flow to immediately take on a direct hire. With contract-to-direct, they can pay the placement fee over time rather than in one lump sum via weekly invoices. Contract-to-direct arrangements also allow clients to try-before-they-buy so they can be sure their limited resources are being used on the right person.
“If they want to try an employee before committing to a direct hire without the onerous employment regulations and obligations, I can help with that,” Chambers said.
Those regulations and employment tasks are handled by the Telecom Search Group’s contract staffing back-office provider, Top Echelon Contracting (TEC). As the legal employer for the firm’s contractors, TEC handles the financial, administrative, and legal tasks of the contract placements, including payroll funding and processing, timesheet collection, invoicing and collections, legal contracts with the clients and candidates, Workers’ Compensation, unemployment, contractor benefits, employment paperwork, and more.
