Elasto Proxy, supplier of specialty seals and custom fabricated insulation, is announcing specialized weather stripping for industrial and commercial applications. Like other types of rubber seals, weather stripping is placed between two surfaces to prevent the flow of gases or liquids. In outdoor applications, the gas is usually air and the liquid is usually water.
High-Quality Rubber Products
Most rubber weather stripping is used as a spacer between two surfaces, to stop metal-to-metal contact and as a weather seal. Standard sealing products are recommended for static environments, but not for dynamic applications. Environments with changing weather conditions and extreme temperatures or temperature ranges may also require custom fabricated seals.
For static sealing, Elasto Proxy offers general-purpose weather stripping with an adhesive back stripping. This closed cell foam is available in a medium-density neoprene blend and provides good oil and aging resistance. For specialty sealing, other weather stripping sizes and rubber compounds can be supplied upon request. Product specifications include weight, dimensions, and quantity per coil.
Weather Stripping Applications
Standard and custom weather stripping for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems must be able to withstand hot and cold temperatures. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light, wind and weather can also create sealing challenges. By listening to all of a partner’s application requirements and analyzing all of their needs, Elasto Proxy provides complete sealing solutions.
Sealing the doors on outdoor electronic displays may require custom weather stripping. Temperature extremes can cause an enclosure’s sheet metal to expand, and static rubber seals demonstrate poor compression set recovery. To protect the sensitive electronic components inside, Elasto Proxy supplies enclosure gaskets for dynamic sealing.
