The sites are judged on seven criteria on a 10 point scale. The criteria is based on design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use. Each site can earn a score between 0 and 70 points. If the site receives above the average of the industry but below 60 points, the entry receives the Standard of Excellence Web Award.
