Riverdale, NJ (PRWEB) November 20, 2013 -- Acorda Therapuetics will hold an event at Push to Walk, 6 North Corporate Drive, Riverdale, NJ beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will be a free interactive educational program given by a leading multiple sclerosis (MS) specialist and physical therapist. Complimentary food will be served.
All interested are welcome to attend this event geared towards those with MS and their friends and family. The discussion will be led by Mary Ann Picone, MD and Stephen Kanter, PT, DPT, ATC. Attendees will learn about Amprya, a new prescription drug to improve walking in people with multiple sclerosis, rehabilitation and exercise.
Push to Walk seeks to work with partners in the community to offer resources to people in need. As part of Push to Walk’s Medical Professionals Network, Dr. Stephen Kanter connected the two organizations who work with similar populations of clients. “We were approached with this event because Acorda thought it would be a good opportunity to also showcase Push to Walk as a place to seek an exercise regimen for those with MS while providing helpful information,” explains Push to Walk founder, Cynthia Templeton.
