Gentle Dental to Provide Dental Services for Children on Medical Assistance
(PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- There are many medial assistance programs available to children in Pennsylvania including, Medicaid, insurance and discount plans and Pennsylvania’s Children’s Health Insurance program (CHIP). These programs allow children to receive dental treatment at no cost. Many children enrolled in medical assist program such as Medicaid or other state program often express how difficult it is to find quality care. Gentle Dental is trying to change that by providing them with convenient quality care throughout the entire year. Gentle Dental is accepting all medical assistance programs for children up to age 21, and is putting on Kids Days on select Saturdays from now until the end of the year to see as many children as possible.
What: Gentle Dental Kids Days are held on select Saturdays in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. Gentle Dental offices will give exams, x-rays, cleanings, and sealants to kids of all ages. It is their goal to encourage good dental health. Gentle Dental’s fun, kid-friendly doctors and staff will see as many children as possible during the events and will see children at regularly scheduled office times if they are unable to make the event. At the events, Tommy the Tooth will pose for pictures, children will receive toothbrushes and other giveaway and will also be entered to win one of seven Kindle Fires to be given away after they have completed their dental checkup.
Why: To provide dental care to children up to age 21 on medical assistance or with insurance who are in need of quality dental care.
Gentle Dental Kids Days aims to:
• Provide dental services to local children of all ages
• Raise awareness of the epidemic of untreated dental disease occurring locally
• Raise awareness of the need to build local partnerships to increase access to oral health care to solve this crisis
Who: Any child with medical assistance, insurance or other dental coverage needing dental care. Children of all ages are welcome and most insurance, Medicaid, and CHIP, Pennsylvania’s Children’s Health Insurance program, are accepted. Gentle Dental recommends calling your desired location ahead to secure an appointment but walk-ins are welcome.
