Office Manager of Maryland Assisted Living Facility, Autumn Meadows, is Running in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis to Support The Arthritis Foundation
Gambrills, MD (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- The Holiday season is the time for giving, and that is exactly what Jennifer is doing. On December 7th, Jennifer will tie jingle bells to her shoelaces and join thousands of other people to run for Arthritis.
27-year-old Jennifer doesn’t have much in common with the 45 residents she works with at Autumn Meadows. One thing they do share is living with the daily pain of Arthritis. Although Arthritis is typically developed as you age, Jennifer was diagnosed with Arthritis at the age of two.
The Arthritis Foundation was a tremendous help for her and her family while they navigated the course of living life with new challenges every day. She feels it is now her turn to give to the foundation that helped her through the early years of her life.
“Now I work with Senior Citizens and use all the tools I acquired from the Arthritis Foundation to help institute accommodations in their life to overcome the challenges of Arthritis,” said Jennifer.
Jennifer has developed a special bond with one of Autumn Meadows residents, Marguerite Hollman, a 94 year old with a heart just a big as Jennifer’s. Marguerite struggles on a daily basis with her arthritis and relies heavily on Jennifer’s experience and knowledge to get her through the day.
Marguerite’s name will be worn proudly across Jennifer’s back as she runs a 5K in honor of her new friendship.
The Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis has already raised a total of $4,917,668. All donations will directly benefit The Arthritis Foundation. Whether you are affected by Arthritis, you know someone affected by Arthritis, or you are looking to donate to a good cause during the holidays, please help out Jennifer reach her personal goal of $500.
