The National Education Association of New Hampshire Launches Mobile Applications for Membership Awareness and Advocacy
Concord, New Hampshire (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- NEA New Hampshire (NEA-NH) today announced the release of their iPhone and Android applications. The mobile applications were developed to engage their members and supporters on the most popular mobile app platforms in the marketplace today. The app includes a location-enabled event and office finder application to allow members to find a meetings or offices wherever they are in the state. It also contains an innovative advocacy module allowing members to create postcards that can be shared via social media to spread the message in support of education across the state. The applications also include access to the association’s social media feeds, videos and other useful information for members.
The mobile apps were also developed to allow the NEA New Hampshire to send push notifications to their members and the public with their latest news and updates. Push notifications are a useful way of getting up to date information on-the-fly. Public service announcements, organizing and mobilization messages, and media updates are a few of the possible uses of the push notification feature.
“Mobile applications allow us instant access to our members to share the latest news, events and progress in our efforts to maintain the highest quality public education for the students of New Hampshire,” said George Strout, the Communications Manager for the NEA New Hampshire. “We can move beyond purely passively broadcasting information to our membership and supporters and actively engage them in activities to the benefit of all.”
NEA New Hampshire’s mobile applications are developed and maintained by Purple Forge. Purple Forge is the world’s leading provider of mobile applications to associations and advocacy organizations, and have deployed apps for other state chapters of the NEA, including Missouri and New Mexico, and has also deployed the mobile application for the largest teaching union in Canada, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation.
"NEA New Hampshire has taken a bold step forward in employing mobile technology to reach its members," shared John Craig, VP Sales and Marketing of Purple Forge. "In turn their members will be able to be activated to spread their message, and help deliver on their campaign goals of supporting education across the state.”
