Carol Carden, a Principal at PYA, has been elected to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Business Valuation Hall of Fame.
This honor, presented recently at the Association’s Business Valuation conference in Las Vegas, recognizes lifetime achievements and contributions that significantly advanced the valuation discipline. In October, Carden was named Chairperson of the AICPA’s Executive Committee for Forensic and Valuation Services.
“I was surprised and humbled by this honor,” Carden said. “It would never have happened without the support of my colleagues and friends at PYA. I feel so blessed and fortunate to work with such amazing and thoughtful people.”
Carden joined PYA in 1995 and was named a Principal and owner in 2010. She provides business valuation and consulting services to a variety of organizations, primarily in the healthcare industry. Her primary areas of expertise are in finance, valuation, managed care, and revenue cycle operations for healthcare organizations.
“Carol received this honor for her leadership, accomplishments, professionalism, service orientation, humility and compassion for others,” PYA President Ed Pershing said. “We see these attributes daily in our work with Carol, and everyone at PYA is thrilled to see them so publically acknowledged by her professional colleagues across the nation. There is no higher honor than being selected by one’s peers for induction into his or her professional hall of fame.”
Carden received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University in 1988. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, she has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential from AICPA, Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers, and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
