It is a change that we have embraced and we are working hard to implement it."
About Baldwin Research Institute and Saint Jude Retreats:
Baldwin Research Institute was created in 1989 by Gerry Brown and Mark Scheeren in an effort to help people realize that 12-step programs were not the solution to addiction. After studying the failed effects of 12 steps and it's lack of impact on sobriety, the Saint Jude Retreats was created as the original non-12-step program and first alternative to treatment. The co-founders continue to research growing trends in the addiction industry to educate substance users that addiction can be overcome through a permanent solution. The Saint Jude Retreats is a non-disease, non-treatment based drug and alcohol program implementing proprietary methodology called Cognitive Behavioral Education (CBE). The program is endorsed by internationally acclaimed professionals and addiction research authors such as Prof. David Rudy, PhD; Dr. Joy Browne and the late Joseph Vacca, PhD, among others.
