NevadaNet Enhances Video Conferencing with Advanced Scheduling and Management Platform
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- NevadaNet, a video conferencing and data network operated by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), has partnered with Renovo Software to deploy an advanced videoconference scheduling and management system. NevadaNet serves higher education, K-12, University of Nevada School of Medicine and state agencies. NSHE replaced a Freeport Technologies solution with Renovo Software’s Video Scheduler, the most flexible and comprehensive videoconference management, automation, and scheduling platform on the market. NevadaNet will utilize Video Scheduler to manage a Polycom core, 3 Polycom RMX MCU’s, Polycom RSS recording and 350 endpoints.
“We decentralized our video conferencing network in order to foster collaboration and reduce administrative workload,” said Steve Fry, Senior Network Analyst for the Nevada System of Higher Education. “Video Scheduler will allow us to expand that approach with an unmatched depth of resource configuration and control. Not only will Renovo’s platform help us be efficient with our time and resources, it will also keep us flexible as technologies and demands change over time.”
NevadaNet users will be able to quickly and easily schedule and manage video conferences and communicate with other participants through a simple, web-based interface. Multiple sessions can be scheduled at either regular or irregular intervals. Reservations can be duplicated, and individual instances can even be edited within a recurring session. Custom information fields, automated notifications and custom mass messages keep participants informed.
“At the core of Video Scheduler are highly configurable administrative options for MCU management,” said Ted Nafzger, Video Scheduler sales manager at Renovo Software. “MCU load balancing, queuing, weighted selection, and failover are just a few of the configurations our system offers. Administrators can also set up custom time blocks, user groups, privileges, live usage monitoring, and detailed network reports.”
