The Romelu Lukaku PFA profile page has been updated to reflect the Everton striker's excellent start to the season say Digital Sports Group
(PRWEB UK) 22 November 2013 -- Digital Sports Group have today announced that the Official PFA profile for Romelu Lukaku has been updated to reflect the Everton striker's exceptional start to the 2013-2014 season. The Official PFA player profiles provide a unique and unrivalled insight into a professional footballer's career with full career stats, news biographies and features.
Romelu Lukaku arrived at Everton on a season-long loan from Chelsea on deadline day in September 2013.
The striker had previously enjoyed a hugely productive temporary spell at West Brom the season before, during which he plundered 17 goals.
And he jumped at the chance to step up his development under Roberto Martinez.
Earlier in his young career the powerful frontman had shot to prominence when he made his Anderlecht debut as a 16-year-old and became a regular for the next two seasons.
His form caught the eye of clubs across Europe but it was Chelsea who won the race for his signature in 2011. He was a bit-part player for his first season playing mainly in the League Cup and for the reserves.
The following season he agreed a loan switch to the Hawthorns and was immediately among the goals. Lukaku would score in a winning effort at Anfield and bag a hat-trick against Manchester United before returning to Chelsea.
At the start of the 2013/14 season, Lukaku made three substitute appearances for Jose Mourinho's side including in the Uefa Super Cup before switching to Merseyside.
By this time he had already become an established Belgian international having racked up over 20 caps.
Lukaku's Everton career started with a bang and he scored a winning goal at West Ham on his debut before grabbing a brace at home to Newcastle.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say: “Romelu Lukaku is a fantastic player and we have been working hard to provide the most fantastic resource that is both enjoyable to use and useful.
