Tables d’Hôte: Grand Opening - Exclusive Membership-Based Dining Club Launches in Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Invites You To Join
Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- Tables d’Hôte the "culinary adventure and revelry" membership-based dining club is leveraging internet technologies to pioneer new dining experiences in the Twin Cities. The new concept is a hybrid food venture and internet start-up that would like you to join them.
Tables d’Hôte is a French word meaning literally, ‘the host’s tables,’ and is defined as a meal of preselected courses served at a fixed time and price to the guests. The words defined the concept so perfectly, the founders decided to name the company, those very words.
"Our members get invited to new events via email and log into their accounts to register for an event they wish to attend. We reveal very little about each event, and then just 72 hours before the event, the member gets notified of the menu and venue, adding to the intrigue." – Mark Nazigian, Cofounder
Recently, the new venture held two successful introductory events at the Warehouse Winery in St. Louis Park featuring Chef JP Samuelson and a six course meal with wine pairings for each course. The founders received quite a bit of valuable feedback at those initial events. Some of the results were anticipated, some were not. They discovered the attendees highly valued meeting the other guests at their table. For instance, some guests suggested that the company create "singles tables" where there could be the possibility of meeting other singles. One of the greatest surprises they encountered was just how fast the events filled up.
"We weren’t sure what to expect in terms of response when we announced the introductory event. To our surprise and excitement we were completely booked within 24 hours of announcing the first event. With a growing waiting list, we checked with the chef and the venue to offer another night. When we opened that second night, it sold out in 24 hours as well." – Todd Mortenson, Cofounder
The concept is this simple: each event is unique and will never have the same people, the same location, & the same chef. We’re not only open to traditional venues, but we also seek adventurous ideas such as: warehouses, breweries, barns, aircraft hangers, homes, club houses, outdoors, caves, tents, boats, yachts, theaters, stadiums, arenas, factories, offices, wine cellars, roof tops, and more … just not at restaurants.
"We actually don’t compete with local fine dining establishments. Instead we actually help promote them, by providing a venue for their chef’s to showcase their talent and build a following among diners. In fact we have over 25 chefs already interested in being featured. We’re helping turn chef’s into ‘rock stars’." – Mark Nazigian, Cofounder
Tables d’Hôte is now offering membership registrations for the 2014 year and expect to fill up by Christmas. There are two membership options available: standard and corporate. Standard memberships allow the member to bring one non-member guest along with them to any event they attend. Corporate memberships (which are not limited to companies, by the way) provide the member with four tickets that can be used by anyone, with or without the registered member.
The gift of membership is an excellent idea for friends, family, clients, vendors and associates. Join Tables d’Hôte for a celebration of food, where no event is ever the same. Meet other people like you that enjoy great food and unique dining experiences.
