Boynton Beach, Fla., customers of Venetian Builders, Inc., have opted for sunrooms more than any other method to expand living space in their homes so far in 2013, company President Chris Noe said. Venetian’s sunroom sales volume in the Palm Beach County city this year is more than double that for the nearest other improvement, insulated patio roofs, Noe said.

Aluminum sunroom additions proved the most popular option for expanding homes in Boynton Beach, Fla., among customers of Venetian Builders, Inc., so far in 2013, Venetian President Chris Noe said.

Sunroom volume was twice that of insulated patio roofs, the nearest other home improvement in the city this year, Noe said.

“Aluminum sunrooms appeal to homeowners for several reasons,” Noe said. “Because of the high technology involved in aluminum framing systems, aluminum sunrooms go up faster than a similar-sized space built by traditional methods, and for a lower cost.”

Older, smaller homes in Boynton Beach can be expanded affordably and quickly with a solarium or patio cover, Noe said. “And homeowners come to realize that it’s cost effective to add the insulated walls and glass to make a sun room, since they would be erecting a patio roof anyway,” he said.

Lots usually are big enough to handle a sunroom easily, Noe said.

“Of course, homeowners also have the option of enclosing an existing patio or choosing a screened swimming pool enclosure to extend outdoor enjoyment,” he said.

Homeowners are disrupted less by aluminum-frame construction than by more traditional methods, Noe added. “We do much of the fabricating to our custom design specifications in our shops,” Noe explained. “Assembly is done on the lot.”

Noe said code requirements also help speed up production of aluminum structures. “The number of inspections is reduced, avoiding costly, time-consuming delays just waiting for approvals,” Noe said. Venetian also employs permitting experts who speed the process from design to completion, Noe said.

“We’re experienced at not just building to code, but also at exceeding it,” Noe added.

Venetian Builders installs custom-design Florida rooms, patio covers and pool screens not just in Boynton Beach, but in all of Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward County, and in the Keys in Monroe County.

Estimates are free, including for indoor living space, outdoor rooms, patio roofs and installation of retractable awnings, aluminum pergolas and privacy lattice.

No-cost in-home consultations include curbside access to the Venetian mobile showroom.
