Picaboo Yearbooks Awards $1500 Grant to Tillamook, Oregon’s Tillamook Junior High School
Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2013 -- Picaboo Yearbooks is proud to announce that it has awarded a $1500 grant to Tillamook Junior High School located in Tillamook, Oregon, as part its School Grant Program.
Picaboo Yearbooks’ School Grant Program is designed to encourage schools across the US and Canada to enjoy the rewards, advantages and benefits of creating and sharing great yearbooks. Schools such as Tillamook Junior High were eligible for the grant – which they can spend in any way they choose. The check was presented by Rita McColgin, Picaboo Yearbooks authorized dealer and local resident.
“Thank you so much! We are thrilled with this check. We haven’t yet decided how to use the money. However, we think we might use it to support the yearbook staff and their efforts,” stated J. P. Richards, Principal. Yearbook Advisor and Art teacher, Nancy Bernard, is working with the yearbook class to create their first Picaboo Yearbook after beginning last year with the creation of an art book which featured the art projects of her students. Other Tillamook County schools are also using Picaboo Yearbooks to offer their students beautiful, high-tech, feature-filled yearbooks and club books.
“We don’t believe that yearbooks are a privilege that only some schools should enjoy – we believe that creating, sharing and treasuring a great yearbook is a right that every school and every student deserves,” commented Bryan Payne, President of Picaboo Yearbooks. “We’re thrilled to award Tillamook Junior High School this grant, and encourage them to use the funds to create an amazing yearbook, or support their other important school programs, services and initiatives.”
The mission that Payne refers to is also expressed through Picaboo Yearbooks’ no-cost eYearbook Program, which launched in Spring 2013. Through that program, schools can create a feature-filled, professional digital yearbook that can be viewed on PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones – and all without cost or obligation to order print copies. They can also enhance their eYearbook with QR codes and videos, as well as free personal pages. Picaboo Yearbooks offers 21st Century Yearbooks and other memory books without any risk to school money, eliminating the past problems of losing money on yearbooks.
