Cedric J. Priebe, MD, Has Been Appointed CIO for Brigham and Women’s Health Care
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 02, 2013 -- Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School and a founding member of Partners HealthCare, has announced that after an extensive national search, Cedric J. Priebe, MD, has been appointed to the position of chief information officer for Brigham and Women’s. Dr. Priebe comes most recently from the Care New England Health System, CNE, in Rhode Island, where he has served as chief information officer and senior vice president of Information Services since 2007. He is also an attending pediatric hospitalist at Women & Infants Hospital.
Dr. Priebe is an innovative and forward-thinking physician executive with a proven track record. During his tenure at CNE, the health system won the American Hospital Association Most Wired™ Most Improved award. CNE Information Systems also earned Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics EMR Adoption Model Level 6 award in 2012. Dr. Priebe was instrumental in the development of the Rhode Island Health Information Exchange, where he has served as its Advisory Board co-chair since 2005.
Dr. Priebe earned his BA and MD from Harvard Medical School.
