Naples, FL (PRWEB) November 26, 2013
Move seen as a way for Position Logic customers to win deals by differentiating services from competition.
Position Logic, a RacoWireless company, has announced an agreement with SpeedGauge, an international provider of driver behavior and speed management solutions for commercial trucking fleets. The co-marketing partnership will allow customers of Position Logic to easily activate SpeedGauge’s innovative services directly from the Position Logic GPS tracking platform. SpeedGauge allows fleet managers to improve safety by reducing speeding in every location their vehicles operate. Telematics services companies that are deployed on the Position Logic platform will now be able to rapidly deploy the most innovative speed monitoring solution on the market.
SpeedGauge compares vehicle speeds to posted speed limits as part of its regular service for all interstates, side roads, and rural and urban streets – anywhere a speed limit is posted. Fleets using SpeedGauge can set customized speeding thresholds to receive reports of all incidents that exceed those limits, as well as a street view map of the location where the infraction occurred. This ability extends to yards and terminals – anywhere a fleet operates.
Excessive speeding is a major factor in 30 percent of fatal truck accidents and is a leading indicator of other types of poor driving behavior. SpeedGauge customers have come to understand that speeding is one of the easiest driver behaviors to control. Therefore, monitoring and controlling speed reduces accidents and speeding violations, both of which lead to substantial costs in fines, repairs and liabilities as well as insurance premiums and company reputations.
The addition of SpeedGauge’s services complements the already extensive functionality and customizable features built in to Position Logic’s GPS tracking platform. Position Logic, acquired by RacoWireless in July of 2013, provides customizable GPS tracking software that empowers fleet management providers with dispatching, routing, in-cab driver messaging, geo-fencing, vehicle maintenance reminders, and a host of other tools. The platform fully integrates several hundred GPS devices, such as the Cal-Amp LMU trackers, Queclink’s GV series, and devices from many other manufacturers, providing fleet managers and GPS tracking businesses a solution that is powerful, flexible and quickly implemented.
The move is aligned with the RacoWireless philosophy of being ‘the easiest to do business with’. The agreement creates value for Position Logic customers by seamlessly integrating the SpeedGauge technology into the Position Logic platform, and providing customers with a simplified value chain for obtaining an even wider array of location based services, all housed under one roof.
"SpeedGauge is very excited to be included in Position Logic's platform of GPS and telematics offerings,” says Jonathan Hubbard, CEO of SpeedGauge. “Our service offers a compelling deal maker for new GPS sales, as well as an easy add on for existing customers. Together with Position Logic, we enable telematics and GPS companies to offer the latest in speed monitoring innovation, and differentiate themselves from their competition."
Position Logic CEO Felix Lluberes is excited about what the agreement will bring to Position Logic customers: “This integration is great for our customers – it allows them to easily add features that identify high-risk driving behavior, monitor speed and rate drivers, and all in the same platform as the Position Logic applications they already know and use.”
By combining the technologies, users are able to gain a more granular analysis of their operations to provide additional transparency to a business and enable managers to run their fleets more efficiently.
