Top boxes include POPSUGAR Must Have, Fancy Box, and FabFitFun VIP Box.
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 26, 2013
My Subscription Addiction, the go-to website for consumers looking to navigate the world of subscription boxes, announced a list of the top 20 most-wished for subscription boxes for this holiday season. The list was compiled from data collected from the site’s newly-launched subscription box directory and recommendation engine.
The site launched a new directory last month, which allows customers to quickly find, track, and discover their favorite subscription boxes. The data from the new directory also allowed MSA to compile a list of the 20 most-wished-for subscription boxes for 2013 based on users were adding to their wishlists. Top boxes include POPSUGAR Must Have, Fancy Box, and FabFitFun VIP Box. The Top 20 Most-Wished-For Holiday Subscription Box list can be found on MSA. Users can also share their wishlists on social networks, encouraging easy holiday shopping.
“Our new directory is unique because it allows people to keep personalized lists of the boxes they have and the boxes they want, and sort by the most popular boxes, which boxes have coupons, or which boxes ship to your country. We also built in a recommendation engine to help people discover new boxes that match their interests. Since we launched last month, we’ve also learned some interesting things about subscription commerce consumer trends, for example that celebrity boxes are becoming very popular,” stated website founder Liz Cadman.
Other insights from the new directory include:
- The average MSA user subscribes to 5 boxes and has 12 more boxes on their wish list.
- At an industry level, 2-3 new boxes launch per week.
- The US has the most subscription boxes (over 300), but countries like Australia, Canada, the UK, and Singapore are growing quickly.
- The average price point of the boxes with the most subscriptions is $22.25 and the average price point for the most-wished-for boxes is $38.65.
Liz Cadman started My Subscription Addiction as a blog in 2012 in response to the huge explosion in subscription commerce. Since then, the website has expanded to include the largest library of reviews on the web, subscription box news, special offers and coupons. Once the website hit over 1 million page views a month with no marketing, she decided to enlist her husband Eric Cadman to help. The Cadmans met at ModCloth, where they both worked for four years on the online retailer’s technology team.
Additional holiday plans for My Subscription Addiction include updates on Black Friday subscription box specials and a series of holiday gift guides.
