In recent years, more and more industries have discovered how specific material upgrades and replacements can improve their ability to produce better products. In response to such changes, Industrial microwave and RF systems provider, Thermex Thermatron LP has now started offering a line of pultrusion preheaters that specifically caters to the needs of manufactures using fiberglass and composite materials.

The full line of radio frequency (RF) pultrusion preheaters is available from 5kW to 12.5 kW, with one to four adjustable electrodes. Thermex Thermaton LP specifically developed this new line of equipment to accommodate the diverse and expanding needs of their customers, with respect to application requirements as well as budget. This new development is already improving processes for a number of companies; particularly those who are now using fiberglass and other composites in their fabrication and production processes. This includes oil and gas industry producers that manufacture fiberglass sucker rods, which have almost exclusively replaced steel rods due to their structural integrity and breakage resistance.

Thermex Thermatron LP’s new line of RF pultrusion preheaters is also helping manufacturers in the production of fiberglass hot-sticks, line post insulators, guy wire insulators and brackets for electrical insulator applications; reduced weight tie rods for suspension and steering in automotive industries; composite rebar and dowel bars for marine applications and corrosive environments; safer, non-conductive shatter-proof handles for tool manufacturers; and other manufacturers working with fiberglass and other composites as part of a continuous process. Even those manufacturers who may have considered RF pultrusion preheating in the past and opted not to employ this technology, may want to take a second look at this new line of RF equipment.
