Champion Home Builders® Opens Second Plant in Lake City, Florida To Meet Growing Housing Demand
Lake City, Florida (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- Champion Home Builders, Inc.®, has opened a second manufacturing facility on its current campus in Lake City, Florida. Plant operations began the week of November 18, 2013. This development reestablishes the Redman Homes® brand in the Southeast as part of the Champion Family of Homebuilders. With the facility comes 45 new jobs and new manufactured housing options for Florida, Georgia and South Carolina residents.
Redman has a long-established and well-regarded history in the Southeast with manufacturing facilities previously located in Georgia and North Carolina, and a previous Florida location that closed in 2002. Redman Homes has continually provided manufactured and modular housing in other states, including Indiana and Pennsylvania, for decades. With the housing resurgence there is a need for attractive, affordable single family homes, and Champion is resurrecting Redman’s presence here to meet that demand.
“There is a lack of pre-owned homes for sale inside many of Florida’s communities and many new homes are simply too expensive for some budgets. Through value-engineering and a focus on high-efficiency manufacturing, we offer buyers a new home at or near the cost of a pre-owned home,” said Wade Lyall, South Region Vice President of Champion Home Builders.
The new facility spans 70,000 square feet and shares a 30-acre campus with three other Champion buildings. New jobs are currently being filled in framing, electrical, plumbing, molding, roofing, siding and drywall. The hiring process is expected to be complete in December.
The initial product offering from the new Redman facility will include the Trinity Series, the Riverview Series and the CrestPointe Series which combine attractive aesthetics, several convenient floor plans, and attainable purchase prices. The Trinity Series was displayed last month at the Southeast Community Owners Symposium in Forsyth, Georgia, October 8th through the 10th.
