(PRWEB) December 02, 2013 -- Ostrato, a provider of scalable and easy-to-use cloud service management solutions, today announced that Hani Bandi, a 20-year IT and cloud industry veteran, joined the company as director of product innovation. As Ostrato’s official cloud guru, Bandi will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company’s product offerings, including its flagship cloud service management platform, cloudSM.
In his role, Bandi will drive Ostrato’s product strategy to ensure the company is meeting customers’ needs in the rapidly evolving Everything-as-a-Service market. He will build awareness of Ostrato’s patent pending cloudSM solution, while educating enterprise, federal and system integrator customers on the benefits of Cloud Service Management solutions in maximizing cloud investments through proper governance, oversight and cost control measures.
“We’re very excited to have Hani on board. He’s joining a talented, rapidly growing team here at Ostrato,” said Jay Chapel, CEO of Ostrato. “His in-depth understanding of cloud, networking and virtualization is not an easy skill to come by and combined with his customer-friendly, innovative approach to solving critical technical and business issues, we have a real asset, not only for Ostrato but more importantly for our customers and partners.”
Bandi comes to Ostrato from IBM Tivoli Software where he was a senior architect charged with building and supporting cross industry solutions with specific focus on cloud, network and predictive analytics. Prior to that he was a Senior Systems Engineer at Micromuse where he assisted telecommunications providers in solving their sophisticated technical issues and supported sales efforts. Bandi started his career at Verizon where he helped to develop and deploy managed service offerings for Verizon’s enterprise customers. Bandi has several pending patents at IBM for Real-time OSS Management.
“Hybrid cloud management and orchestration presents complex challenges and the ability to solve these challenges requires highly skilled people like Hani and world class technology, both of which are trademarks of Ostrato,” continued Chapel. “With Hani joining our leadership team, we look forward to expanding our ever-growing footprint in both government and commercial markets and further securing Ostrato’s leadership position within the cloud service management market.”
