While the Spokane call center is full of computers and phones, employees are not permitted to use them for personal matters due to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance requirements. Remaining compliant with regulations like those requires strict rule enforcement to protect clients and deliver outstanding customer service, which is a focus at Sound Telecom. But that can be strenuous on employees, so the new lounge gives them a place to remain connected while keeping compliance regulations intact.
Working in a call center is not a job without its stresses.
