Burlington, MA (PRWEB) November 26, 2013
JogNog, a leading provider of learning apps for elementary and middle school students, announced today the results of its JogNog Science Challenge for the latest Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) tests. For the second year in a row, schools using the JogNog learning apps performed at least 3.5% better than the state average. The announcement was made at a meeting of Massachusetts teachers and leaders from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in the Marshall Simonds Middle School in Burlington, MA. The teachers share the same goal as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: that all students reach the level of Proficient or Advanced on the Science MCAS.
To help schools achieve these MCAS goals, JogNog and leading Massachusetts teachers created the JogNog Science Challenge. It uses the JogNog app to prepare students for standardized tests without requiring additional class time. The app enables students to master science, technology and engineering concepts from a standard curriculum while having fun competing with their friends. It also saves teachers’ time with online assessment, identifying problem areas confronted by their students, and providing ready-to-use quizzes that students can finish at home or in self-paced study.
"We are thrilled that the MCAS results for 2013 show that the JogNog app can both save teachers’ time in preparing for standardized tests and deliver exceptional results," said Stephen Smith, CEO and Co-Founder of JogNog.com. "We congratulate the teachers who participated in the JogNog Science Challenge, as part of their focused effort to give their students a stronger science education.”
