kidsunlimited Launch Exciting Christmas Card Competition
(PRWEB UK) 28 November 2013 -- To celebrate the festive season, childcare company kidsunlimited are excited to have launched their Christmas card competition. The competition will look to find the best Christmas card designed by a child from one of their nurseries.
kidsunlimited hope that the Christmas card competition will help young children across the country to understand Christmas, in addition to the other celebrations such as Eid, Diwali and Chinese New Year which they have previously been taught about. Nursery staff will be providing the children with all of the materials that they need so that they can get as creative as they want with their designs.
Five finalist cards which are chosen by the Senior Leadership Team in the Great Portland Street office will be put on the kidsunlimited social media sites and people will get the chance to vote for their favourite seasonal card. The winning card will be transferred onto an e-card and emailed to families that use the nurseries. kidsunlimited recognise cultural diversity so the e-cards will carry the message ‘Season’s Greetings’.
Ursula Krystek-Walton, Early Year’s Advisor at kidsunlimited said: “The competition is a fun activity for the children during the festive season but it gives them the chance to develop their creative skills at the same time. Although the nursery nurses will give support and inspiration to the children we want the cards to be the child’s own work. It’s something for the nursery, the children and the families to be proud of. Our recent seasonal competitions have been a success and we hope that this one will prove just as popular.”
kidsunlimited offer over 7,000 child places across 64 nurseries. Their nurseries include both local community and workplace nurseries and they have encouraged all nurseries to get into the Christmas spirit and take part in the competition.
The five favourite cards chosen by the Senior Leadership Team will be selected on Wednesday 27 November and Facebook voting for the winner will take place via the app. If you wish to see the kidsunlimited Facebook page then visit https://www.facebook.com/kidsunlimitednurseries.
