Chef Todd English’s consultancy with Washington D.C. based Mexican restaurant MXDC has been fulfilled and he will no longer be associated with the establishment owned by Aziz Safi.
“Aziz and I have been friends for a long time and I have no doubt he will continue to 'wow' Washingtonians with MXDX and Chef Pavlovich,” says Chef English. “But my goal right now is to keep focused on our core restaurant brands.”
Todd English Enterprises owns and manages over twenty restaurants around the world including Olives, Todd English P.U.B., Figs, Bluezoo and Todd English Food Hall.
“We currently have three new openings planned for 2014, along with several others that are about to be inked,” explains Oliver English, Vice-President of Todd English Enterprises. “This is the fastest we have ever grown, and as much as we would love to work on all types of projects, we need to be focused on the projects at hand. Our current expansion here, in Asia and in the Middle East requires all our attention.”
MXDC will continue to tantalize Washington D.C. diners in search of a contemporary take on Mexican classics under the supervision of Chef Juan Carlos “JC” Pavlovich. Tijuana-born and raised, Chef Pavlovich brings years of culinary experience to MXDC’s kitchen and will continue to tempt guest’s taste buds with savory dishes like Langosta Tacos with Lemon Tarragon Butter, Tuna and Crab Ceviche with Coconut and Watermelon, Pescado a la Talla and the incomparable MX Paella.
MXDC is located at 600 14th Street, NW Washington D.C., 20005, telephone 202-393-1900. MXDC is open for lunch Monday through Friday 11:30am to 3pm. Dinner hours are Monday through Thursday 3pm to 11pm, Friday 3pm to Midnight, and Saturday 5pm to midnight. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday all day.
