Nancy Leach Nominated To Nashville Business Journal’s 2013 List of Most Admired CEOs
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 29, 2013 -- Nancy Leach, CEO of Facility Planners Inc., has recently been chosen, out of 400 candidates, as a finalist for the Nashville Business Journal's 2013 Most Admired CEOs. Nancy has successfully led Facility Planners Inc., a local sales, planning and installation furniture dealer, and an authorized Middle Tennessee Teknion dealer since 2002, for over 18 years. She is nominated in the “Private Companies with 10-25 employees” category.
“Facility Planners was founded on the concept of applying a holistic approach to selecting office furniture that integrates architecture and interior design, as well as the needs of the end user,” says Leach. “I wanted to be able to create spaces that meet the challenges of ever changing technology, business models, and work teams, making our clients organizations more efficient and effective. FPI sells and installs furnishings to meet our clients’ business objectives.”
All nominated finalists, along with the Most Admired CEO award winners, will be featured in a special December 6th edition of The Nashville Business Journal. Each will be honored in person at the awards dinner to be held on December 5th, 2013. The event recognizes the top CEO’s in Middle Tennessee.
Leach has more than 27 years of experience in the commercial furniture retail and design business. She is a current member of the IIDA (International Interior Design Association), has served on the Executive Board of the American Red Cross, receiving the 2007 Red Cross Woman of Spirit Award, and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Nashville. She is also a founding member of the Belmont Center for Ethics at Belmont University.
Leach is an avid supporter of small, women and minority-owned businesses throughout Middle Tennessee.
United States Member of Congress, Jim Cooper, recently sent her a message of congratulations: “Nancy, thank you for what you do in your industry and in our community.”
Nancy is a graduate of O’More College of Design and has an M.B.A. from Belmont University. She holds a National Council for Interior Design Qualification certificate (NCIDQ) and is a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Leach is a past president of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), an active member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC). In 2009, she received the Distinguished Alumni of the year award from the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University. In 2006, Nancy received the Star Award, the highest award given by IIDA, and in 2004 she was the Athena Award nominee for Women in Commercial Real Estate.
