The combination of Splunk Enterprise and Thycotic Software can help security professionals analyze and visualize machine-generated data from Secret Server and correlate this with data from other systems.

Thycotic Software, a leading provider in privileged password management software and creator of Secret Server has announced today its technical alliance with Splunk Inc. as well as a new product integration. Secret Server for Splunk Enterprise is an app which enhances the Secret Server customer experience by making it easier for users to export syslog data into Splunk® Enterprise for easy analysis and correlation with other operational machine data.

By utilizing an enterprise privileged account management tool such as Secret Server with Splunk Enterprise, users can effectively mitigate risk by exporting Secret Server logs into Splunk Enterprise for further analysis and visualization. Collecting Secret Server audit records in Splunk Enterprise lets auditors and admins easily correlate use of a privileged account by a user across the network in a central system.

“We are pleased to be working with Thycotic Software to help joint customers more easily monitor and analyze data from Secret Server,” said Bill Gaylord, senior vice president of business development, Splunk. “The combination of Splunk Enterprise and Thycotic Software can help security professionals analyze and visualize machine-generated data from Secret Server and correlate this with data from other systems. This can enhance organizations’ security posture while also providing rich intelligence about how users are interacting with their systems and data.”

“We are excited to work with Splunk to give our mutual customers more tools for tracking privileged account use,” says Jonathan Cogley, CEO of Thycotic Software. “It makes sense for us to partner with a platform like Splunk Enterprise that offers fast, simple deployment and intuitive reporting.”
