The folks at DDC are so professional and experienced, our 16-week rollout was completed in a seamless 3 1/2 weeks.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 03, 2013
DDC FPO, a world leader in freight process outsourcing, has officially completed the rollout phase of BOL processing operations for Frontline Freight, a fast-emerging LTL carrier based in Southern California, in record time.
Frontline has experienced double-digit growth over the past 2 1/2 years, but the growing pains were severe when they first met Chad Crotty, DDC FPO Vice President of Sales. With only three staff members completing the checking, coding and billing steps, errors were profuse, and a solution was needed.
"DDC works with several of our peers in the industry, including our close partner Benton Global," said Matt Hunter, Frontline Freight Vice President of Sales and Operations. "After meeting Chad, we were comfortable and ready to hand off this function to the experts."
DDC FPO digitizes, captures and processes bills of lading, invoices and other critical documents for many top U.S. carriers. Once this project began, DDC FPO quickly noticed many similarities to other billing platforms that they had previously worked with. As a result, the learning curve was significantly reduced, and the team was able to handle greater volumes over a shorter time frame. The expected rollout period was cut by 75%.
"The folks at DDC are so professional and experienced, our 16-week rollout was completed in a seamless 3 1/2 weeks," said Tony Esparza, Frontline Freight Operations Manager.
As a result of the expedited transition, Frontline was able to move staff around to core focus areas of the business right away. In addition, the carrier has already seen a 50% improvement in BOL quality and significant reductions in both the cost of re-billing and frustrated customers.
“Frontline is one of the fastest-growing west coast carriers in LTL,” stated Crotty. “We are proud to be by their side as they continue to improve this industry with their strategic carrier networks, flexible pricing and technology-based platforms."
The most recent development in the Frontline-DDC FPO partnership features the seamless shift of production in preparation to Super Typhoon Haiyan. According David Stepps, DDC FPO Senior Project Manager, "When we first heard the storm was approaching our Leyte operations, we secured all BOLs in our Manila facilities and gave advanced notice to the Frontline team. This move, paired with continuous communication, has eliminated any risk of impact to the carrier's billing process."
