AtoZdatabases, a leading provider of job search, reference, and mailing list databases for public libraries, academic institutions, and government agencies, has launched a map based search tool that will give users the ability to define their custom target markets by choosing specific geographic areas.

The new tool will allow users to customize maps using:

  •     Draw a Shape- Users can draw their own custom shape for the geographic area they are targeting.

o    This is useful for people that have custom territory that they need to define or would like to slice up a geographic area in a unique way that doesn't conform to the traditional geographic selects.

  •     Define a Radius-Users can create their own custom radius over any geographic area.

o    Helpful for users who are not familiar with an area so they can create a radius around a city or a group of cities.

  •     Drive Route- Users can define a route between two points and find all of the businesses along that route.

o    Very powerful for traveling sales people to find additional prospects along the way to one of their best customers.

  •     Define Boundary-Users can select a state or county from the map view

o    Useful for users to come in and select a geographic boundary or boundaries on a map.
o    Good for users that are familiar with counties in a particular area.

Users have the ability to add any of our additional 40 business selects to define their target market or search area, which includes comprehensive coverage on 30 million U.S. business and executive listings. Rakesh Gupta, president of AtoZdatabases summed it up nicely when he said, “We now provide a pictorial view for our customers, and everyone knows that a picture is worth a thousand words.”
