Stating that “If ever there was a time when members can demonstrate they are Christians in practice as well as in name, it is NOW,” a high level official of GodsFaithbook.com emphasized the death toll is horrific. “People are dazed. Homeless. Roaming mindlessly in search of scraps of food, water, medical attention. All forms of shelter. Financial assistance is desperately needed.”
He went on to state “That GodFaithbook.com members are being asked to send in any donation they can afford. Be it a dollar or a thousand dollars. This is not a time to sit back and count on somebody else to carry the ball. What has happened here is going to require years to heal. Billions to fix. All donated moneys will be forwarded to the proper agencies where it can do the most good (agencies will be listed at http://www.godsfaithbook.com.)”
Referring to the grim photos and videos showing bodies lying alongside roads, untended, and rotting away, children crying and wearing what’s left of their clothing when the storm hit, and the hundreds of thousands of homes that are now flattened, he went on to say, “This event overshadows even Hurricane Katrina which hit the New Orleans area and shocked all of the United States. At least, in that situation, the flooded areas were accessible. Not so in many of the remote islands of the Philippines. In these places access is near impossible.”
He concluded by again stressing the urgency to make a donation NOW. “It would be a blessed thing to do as we approach the holiday season. So many of us will be celebrating with a feast, family joy and memories to store forever. While on the flood soaked, wind wracked Philippines, people will be struggling to just stay alive. Please, now is the time to put into practice the basic tenets of goodness that makes Christianity so special. Give whatever you can afford and do it now. Visit http://www.godsfaithbook.com.
