Hans Ulrich Obrist Moderates Surface Design Dialogues No. 6 with Kanye West and Jacques Herzog in Miami
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 29, 2013 -- Surface magazine will host the sixth installment of its Design Dialogues series on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Moore Building in Miami’s Design District to celebrate the pre-release of the December/January Art issue during Art Basel Miami. Featuring Serpentine Co-Director of Exhibitions and Programs Hans Ulrich Obrist on the cover, as portrayed by John Baldessari, this special edition includes an interview with the internationally recognized curator conducted by Paul Holdengräber, Director of the Live at the New York Public Library talk series. The exclusive interview explores Obrist’s early influences, the role of curating in the Internet age, and how Obrist approaches his work, among other topics. The issue also features interviews with art and architecture world stalwarts such as Klaus Biesenbach, David Chipperfield, Olafur Eliasson, Zaha Hadid, Maja Hoffman, Samuel Keller, Julia Peyton-Jones and Stefano Tonchi, as well as an art-themed gift guide curated by Surface Special Projects Editor Bettina Korek, founder of ForYourArt.
Surface’s signature Design Dialogues are centered around each issue release and feature a highly curated roster of international designers, artists and brands. The celebration of the Art issue will continue with a Surface magazine cover-signing and book-signing with Hans Ulrich Obrist at Books & Books at 927 Lincoln Road on December 6, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase the special collector’s issue of Surface while enjoying specialty drinks and food from The Café at Books & Books.
This limited-edition issue is available only to subscribers and at select venues through Art Basel Miami Beach, Design Miami, and the Brazil Art Fair, and in-room at select luxury boutique hotels including The Soho House, W South Beach, and Morgans Hotel Group properties.
