Introducing Geoscover - the Photographer's App for Discovering and Sharing Interesting Photography Locations
(PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- "We are passionate about outdoor photography, and during our photography trips we have often wanted to mark the best spots on a map. Usually just to record the coordinates in order to return there at a different time or in different weather conditions. We also realized that it would be even better if we could share these locations with fellow photographers. That's how idea behind Geoscover was born," says Kaspars Grinvalds, photographer and developer, SIA Mendo.
Geoscover is a free mobile app that makes discovering and sharing great locations simple and fast. Checking for nearby spots is straightforward – they are shown as thumbnails on the map. Clicking on a thumbnail opens detailed information about the spot. There is an option to rate it, comment on it and users can even edit or add their own pictures to an existing location. It is also possible to filter locations by different categories – landscapes, seascapes, waterfalls, urban scenes etc. Contributing own locations is easy as well. User marks a spot on the map, adds photos from phone's camera, adds a description and hits submit.
"From ground up Geoscover was made with particular focus on outdoor photographers and their needs and high quality content is the primary goal here. The only way to build such content and to maintain its accuracy is with the help of a passionate and dedicated community. Therefore we kindly ask all outdoor photographers to help us make Geoscover great. Not only by providing and contributing content but also by rating and editing existing locations. This will ensure to promote only those locations really worth visiting," concludes Kaspars.
Geoscover is available for free from App Store. Android version is expected to be available in January, 2014.
