New Tech Start-Up Launched, and It Is in the Zone
(PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- “Good luck! We need a site like yours :)" was one of the first comments on The Restaurant Zone's Facebook page after the site was launched. The website focuses on attracting legitimate classified ad listings to http://www.therestaurantzone.com and caters to the restaurant industry. The Restaurant Zone is the new online marketplace and community for restaurateurs, restaurant property brokers, decorators, suppliers and other stakeholders. Users buy and sell restaurant equipment, property, decor, restaurant supplies, specials and other restaurant-related items.
With growing complaints of spam on other general classified websites, the owners of The Restaurant Zone worked hard to create a niche website to solve this problem. The result was a more personal and safer system for listing legitimate classified ads. Not only is the site better maintained, but it’s also free to use. All members have to do is sign up!
Another important difference is the team’s service oriented approach. The Zone provides free email support at contactus(at)therestaurantzone(dot)com, and responds within 24 hours. "We are working to build the best possible classified ads site period and considering user feedback is key to improving our service. After receiving so much positive feedback, it’s clear to us that the entire classified web space is in need of a makeover, and that’s what we plan to provide. We have created a restaurant community and a service that operates on a far better platform than anything else currently available on the market,” states Co-Founder David Brehm.
In just over a month of operation, The Restaurant Zone has recorded hundreds of listings and has hundreds of members populating its site. With plans to expand nation-wide, the site currently serves cities on the east coast, with New York City and Washington DC being the two hottest markets. Many of the listings are for big-ticket items such as restaurant commercial property, businesses and franchises for sale. Equipment, inventory, décor, restaurant specials, and other individual items are also very popular on the site.
The firm was founded by two good friends and former college roommates Matthew Rodgers & David Brehm, both graduates of Loyola College Maryland. While attending Loyola, Matt identified the necessity of a classifieds website specifically tailored to the restaurant industry. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted David as a Co-Founder, and together, they collaborated to come up with the best way to provide this service. The two studied business in college and share the vision of empowering local restaurants and increasing their online presence. The creation of this localized marketplace has finally been realized and both David & Matt have big plans for The Restaurant Zone as they grow the business one day at a time.
“With everything now being done online these days, we see our site becoming the new central go-to place for restaurants & users and with our plans on expanding our business going forward, we are extremely excited and optimistic to say the least,” says Co-Founder Matthew Rodgers.
