ProRehab Sponsoring Winter 2013 Throwing Performance Institute
Evansville, Indiana (PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- ProRehab and Tri-State Orthopaedics have come together to sponsor Complete Game’s Throwing Performance Institute for softball and baseball players looking to improve their throwing performance.
The intensive six-week clinic, held in November and December, focuses on maximizing throwing performance through functional movement screening, conditioning, strength training, flexibility, and core stability. The Throwing Performance Institute is open to all softball and baseball players, not just pitchers, ages 10 and up who are looking to advance before the spring season.
“It’s incredibly important for kids to learn proper technique from the beginning, whether it be conditioning, training, throwing, etc., so that future injuries might be prevented,” states Ryan Miller, Owner and Instructor of Complete Game. “We are very lucky to have partnered with ProRehab and Tri-State Orthopaedics to bring this opportunity to Evansville.”
“This is a really fun way for ProRehab to connect with a new generation of athletes,” said Pat Wempe, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, and co-owner of ProRehab. “Ryan Miller is quite an asset for youth baseball and softball players here in Evansville. We’ve had a great time so far and have gotten a lot of really great feedback about the program, so we’re looking forward to what the next few weeks will bring.”
If your child was unable to attend the clinic but would still like to learn about proper conditioning, training and mechanics, call ProRehab at 812.476.0407 to schedule an appointment with a sports therapy specialist.
