Chef Todd English and Volunteers of America-Greater New York Unite for the New York Winter’s Eve Gala at The Plaza Hotel
New York, New York (PRWEB) December 03, 2013 -- Celebrity chef, author and entrepreneur, Todd English, will join the Volunteers of America-Greater New York for their 18th Annual fundraiser, A New York Winter's Eve, on December 9, 2013 at The Plaza Hotel. The world-famous chef, whose Todd English Food Hall has been a favorite eatery at the Plaza since 2010, will be collaborating for the fourth time with the charity, creating the reception and dinner menus for this year’s event. Hosted by emcee Paige Davis and co-chairs Adele Gulfo and Kathy Nedorostek-Kaswell, proceeds from the gala will benefit the charity’s roster of social service programs.
“There are so many people involved in this organization who dedicate so much of their time to raise awareness and funding year-round for so many families in need, it’s great to be able to gather together again year after year to celebrate and to take time to show them the recognition they deserve,” says English. “Any way that I can contribute to help support the VOA is always a pleasure, and I am looking forward to attending this special event and continuing to collaborate with such a worthwhile organization.”
The gala will be held at The Plaza’s Grand Ballroom and will feature a live auction conducted by Andrew Brandman. English will be serving Todd English Food Hall-inspired hors d’oeuvres for the cocktail reception as well as a three-course dinner:
Appetizer: Burrata, Radicchio and Bosc Pear Salad
Entrée: “Well N’ Rare” Hoisin BBQ Braised Short Ribs with Five Spice Grilled Tenderloin, Sweet Potato Brava Puree, Sesame Sautéed Spinach
Dessert: Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with Manjari Pudding, Chocolate Shortbread Crumble, Salted Caramel, Fudge Chocolate Ice Cream
