-- All proceeds from the 2013 Holiday Fest will benefit The Well – a non-profit that supports women and children in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district--
The founding members of the San Francisco Arts Collective along with SF Lighthouse dreamed up the concept of this year’s Holiday Fest after experiencing the lack of holiday and family connection last year. SFAC co-founder, Kiki Mwiti, didn’t want anyone else to have that experience this year, “I’m Kenyan, and back home, our celebrations during the holidays shut down the City, are engaging and are full of vibrant color. This year, our team of producers is excited to try & capture the magic of the Bay Area during the holiday season.”
Goapele's move to sign on for Holiday Fest 2013 was based on her championing the Collective's passion for local Bay Area creative artistry and its focus on community connectivity.
This year’s Holiday Fest will be complete with an interactive gift marketplace, reminiscent of Europe’s shopping bazaars, as well as several performances from several local Bay Area musicians, dancers, and spoken word artists namely Peter Chung, Aisea Taimani, Lauren Hulbert, Cheza Nami, DJ Smuve, Kimo, Nash Lundquist & more.

About Goapele
Singer-songwriter Goapele broke out of the Bay Area at the beginning of the last decade determined to make a difference in the world of music. Seamlessly blending genres while refusing to be limited by the “neo-soul” tag, the eloquent singer/songwriter completed her first release Closer in 2001 and never looked back. Embraced from the beginning by critics and fans alike, Goapele craved the perfect niche for herself as she created music that fused jazz, soul and hip-hop with her own beautiful poetry. About The Well
The Well is an outreach program focused on the women and children of San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. They serve both exploited women and children, who have gone through domestic violence, homelessness, and immigration inequality. The Well, the space in which they offer weekly mentoring sessions, manicures, community connection programs, English reading classes & extracurricular activities, most recently launched a dance program for younger girls. With a vision to expand their Art Program by offering art therapy, art classes and artistic forums, they are in need of volunteers, supplies and your very generous donation. Every cent counts this Holiday Season for a worthy cause right here in our community.
