Denver Plastic Surgeon Dr. David Broadway Enhances Capsular Contracture Warranty
DENVER CO (PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- Denver plastic surgeon Dr. David Broadway is proud to announce he is enhancing the Sientra primary breast augmentation capsular contracture warranty by covering operating room, anesthesia, and surgeon's fees for capsular contracture surgery for two years, for primary breast augmentation patients who choose the Sientra textured style breast implant (primary breast augmentations only, is not available for breast lifts, remove and replace or revision surgeries). Dr. Broadway is offering the enhancement in hopes that his patients will feel even more confident with their breast augmentation surgery.
Sientra announced a new warranty program November 1, 2013 called the "C3" program. The program will apply to first-time breast augmentation patients who choose Sientra-brand textured implants.
“I am excited about Sientra's new primary breast augmentation capsular contracture warranty program,” said Denver breast augmentation surgeon Dr. Broadway. “While I have personally used Sientra Products for more than 10 years, their breast implants were recently introduced into the American market. This new warranty will inspire confidence in an implant that I have found to be superior.”
Capsular contracture is one of the most frustrating and unpredictable complications after breast implant surgery. Previous studies have found that it happens more often in the sub-glandular implant, if a periareolar or transaxillary approach is used, or if there is bleeding or infection in the breast. In some studies, smokers have an increased risk.
In addition to the current lifetime implant deflation replacement warranty, the C3 program provides a free replacement implant if the patient requires breast surgery revisions for a Baker Grade III or IV capsular contracture, within the first two years after the original implantation surgery. No additional registration forms or fees will be required.
In the upcoming November issue of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, a new study looking at Sientra implants also found a protective effect for their textured breast implants, when compared to the smooth Sientra implants.
“I'm sure that patients who choose Sientra's gummy bear implants will be pleased to hear about this program, going forward,” said Denver plastic surgeon Dr. Broadway. “It will be interesting to see how the other established manufacturers, Allergan & Mentor, react to this new program.”
