The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay Makes Christmas Come Early for Homeless Pets in San Mateo County
(PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay will present a check for $4,300 to the Peninsula Humane Society at the coastal resort’s year end Yappy Hour on Thursday, December 19. The money represents the net proceeds from Yappy Hour events, as well as $10 from each Posh Pooch Package.
Each month, guests and locals are invited to stop by the resort’s Gazebo Lawn between 5 and 8 p.m. when the canine clientele can enjoy complimentary treats and flavored waters while their owners enjoy specially priced beer and wine from the bar, as well as a special “Yappetizer” menu. Items from the resort’s Pampered Pooch menu, including Bow Wow Meatballs and Rice and Canine Casserole will also be available for purchase.
Pups and their human parents are invited to schmooze and sniff with fellow canines on the following Yappy Hour dates for 2014.

The Posh Pooch Package includes luxury accommodations in the resort’s pet-friendly guest houses, a plush doggy bed, Ritz-Carlton water bowl, Ritz-Carlton Frisbee or chew toy, gourmet welcome treat, one epicurean item from the Chef’s Pampered Pooch menu, and a “woof” privacy sign to alert staff of the furry guest. Guests will also receive a coastal trail map and a list of the top five things to do with their pooch while visiting Half Moon Bay.
Yappy Hour is part of The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay’s Community Footprints program.
