The acquisition of Dow Kokam France SAS (ex SVE-Dassault) is the result of Forsee’s strategy, which aims at reinforcing its position and skills in the development and integration of batteries and battery management systems for electric vehicles and energy storage solutions. This strategy was announced and confirmed in early 2013 with Electranova Capital, the Cleantech investment fund run by Idinvest Partners and sponsored by EDF.

According to Christophe Gurtner, founder and CEO of Forsee: "In addition to its pre-established production facilities in China and Poland, Forsee now owns a production site in France, with highly-skilled development teams, enabling the production of top of the art battery systems for industrial applications, across the complete power range."

Jean-François Herchin, president of Dow Kokam France and new deputy CEO of Forsee, adds: “Dow Kokam joins Forsee with over 10 years of accrued experience, high-performance production, solid know-how and numerous references in electric transport (cars, trucks, buses, trains, boats) and energy storage (residential, industrial and networks). It finds in Forsee the synergy and the means for its development on high-response markets."
