In recognition of this fact, the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services – is participating in #GivingTuesday. The Foundation’s #GivingTuesday campaign will last for seven days (December 3-10, 2013) and highlight seven ways to give the gift of hope to those affected by lymphoma. The Foundation encourages everyone to give the #GiftofHope by:
“The Lymphoma Research Foundation is thrilled to participate in #GivingTuesday,” said Elizabeth Thompson, LRF Chief Executive Officer. “Instilling the value of charity during the holiday season is so important; and there is no greater gift to give to someone affected by cancer than the gift of hope.”
#GivingTuesday is a campaign intended to create a national day of giving. In its second annual year, #GivingTuesday kicks-off at the start of the holiday season on Tuesday, December 3rd following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations, whether through philanthropic activities or donations.
